100 Objects of Desire — A Velnaris Pleasure Catalogue

Philtres, jewels, restraints, relics, cursed pieces, and not one of them comes without strings.

A squat green-glass bottle sealed with a hive-stamp: one shared cup warms both drinkers toward the nearest bed within the hour, and an annulled bride has started telling what the mead was cover for. A collar of pale temple bronze that latches only on a spoken yes and springs open at enough. A rope of blush-pink pearls that keeps desire banked and bright for as long as it touches skin.

What You Roll

A d100 catalogue of one hundred named intimate objects from the gothic-noir city of Velnaris, one per roll. Not a table of scenes: a shelf of things to drop into any campaign as loot, bribe, clue or trap. Every card carries:

  • The piece — what it looks, feels and smells like, ready to describe aloud
  • The effect — what it does in play, discovered in use
  • The complication — the string attached: social, legal, magical, sentimental or physical
  • Provenance — where it came from, and who wants it back
  • The price — in coin, in season and out
  • Tags, and on many cards a See also into 100 Dirty Little Secrets: the object is the rumor's proof

Also Inside

  • Ten shelves of ten: Philtres & Draughts, Rings & Jewels, Bonds & Restraints, Garments & Underthings, Enchanted Toys, Contracts & Tokens, Furniture & Rooms, Courtesan Relics, Cursed Pieces, Foreign Curios
  • A mandatory complication on every card, balanced across the five kinds of trouble, 20 of each
  • A compact one-table d100 lookup, a one-line hooks index and a triple cross-index by category, district of provenance and kind of complication
  • A d6 "how the object enters play" table and a coin baseline that rescales to any economy

System-neutral text, built for Velnaris: rescale the coin, rename a district and roll.

Content

18+. Frankly explicit, open door: the cards name bodies, acts and appetites in plain language. Every figure in a sexual role is an adult. Where consent is missing or bought under duress, the card says so plainly.

Player agency is absolute. Coercion, cursework and public shame appear as story pressure the table can refuse. Use lines & veils, keep a visible X-card, and session-zero the register; pre-screen the Bonds & Restraints and Cursed Pieces shelves if you need to. No card is required reading.
